在这个以移民立国的国度裡，无数家庭怀抱着对美国梦的渴望，来到这片土地努力打拚。他们在农田、建筑工地、餐馆与照护机构中默默耕耘，成為支撑经济与社会运作不可或缺的一环。然而，因為法律制度的滞后，许多居民长期处於没有身分保障的灰色地带，生活在恐惧与不安中，无法真正融入社会，无法為子女规划未来，更无法為国家作出更全面的贡献。

我们主张，国会应正视这个沉痾已久的社会问题，儘速修订相关移民法规，推动特赦政策，让长期在美生活、工作、纳税的居民能够合法化其身分，走向阳光，实现美国应许之地所承诺的公平与自由。

They cannot fully integrate into society, cannot plan a future for their children, and cannot contribute to this country to their fullest potential.
