华裔公民之心声

居住在美国的七百多万华裔公民，如今正面临严峻的挑战与考验。身為炎黄子孙，我们对那些每日在媒体上抹黑祖国、肆意发表负面言论的名嘴与评论者，深感痛心与不齿。他们无视歷史与文化的纽带，以迎合主流舆论為能事，却忘了根从何来、血从何流。

在这个充满变局的时代，我们更应清楚自己的身份与责任。美国是我们立足之地，中华文化则是我们心灵的根脉。正因如此，面对误解与偏见，我们不能噤声；面对歧视与挑拨，我们更应团结。真正的强大，不是拋弃来处，而是在多元社会中坚守自我，在冲突中寻找和解之道。

我们不盲目，也不盲从。我们批评可以出於爱，更可以為了进步，但绝非為了迎合他人而出卖良知与尊严。那些背弃文化、自我否定的言行，不会赢得真正的尊重，只会让族群更陷孤立。

我们渴望建构的是一个相互理解与尊重的社会环境，而这需要我们每一位华裔公民发声、参与、坚持。歷史会记录这一代人如何面对风浪，也会见证我们是否配得上「华裔美国人」这个身份的荣耀。

The Voice of Chinese American Citizens

There are over seven million Chinese American citizens living in the United States today, and we are now facing serious challenges and trials. As descendants of Chinese civilization, we feel deep sorrow and contempt toward those media personalities and commentators who, day after day, slander their ancestral homeland and spread negativity. They disregard the bonds of history and culture, catering to mainstream narratives while forgetting where their roots lie and where their heritage flows from.

In this era of upheaval, it is more important than ever for us to be clear about our identity and our responsibilities. America is the land where we live and strive, but Chinese culture remains the root of our spirit. Precisely because of this, when faced with misunderstanding and prejudice, we must not remain silent; in the face of discrimination and provocation, we must stand united. True strength does not come from abandoning our origins, but from holding fast to who we are within a diverse society and seeking reconciliation in the midst of conflict.

We are neither blind followers nor passive bystanders. Criticism can come from love and from the desire for progress—but never should it come from a desire to appease others by betraying our conscience and dignity. Words and actions that deny one’s culture and identity do not earn real respect; they only isolate the community further.

What we long to build is a society rooted in mutual understanding and respect. This requires every Chinese American to speak up, to participate, and to persist. History will record how this generation faced the storms—and whether we lived up to the honor of calling ourselves “Chinese Americans.”
