Analyze and design computer network topology structure; identify equipment related computing environments for geosciences team; implement knowledge of network security to understand threats, assess vulnerabilities, deploy intrusion detection, firewall packet and content filtering, using security measures such as encryption schemes and algorithms; perform error diagnosis for computer systems troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems; improve data security and data loss prevention in communications and data transfer with encryption; write and debug computer programs for tasks and security improvement with scripting and non-scripting language.
