Is It War For the Middle East |

Iran tested nine missiles on
Wednesday and said there are “thousands more ready for launch.”
In Washington, Bush administration officials downplayed the
possibility of military action against the giant Islamic
republic and belittled Iran's claims of progress on its nuclear
program.
Iran's missile tests were held right after Israel conducted its
own high-profile military exercise in the Mediterranean.
Under Secretary of State William Burns told Congress that, "We
view force as an option that is on the table, but only as a last
resort."
The two presumed presidential nominees are talking much tougher
than the White House. Senator Barrack Obama said, "the threat
from Iran's nuclear program is real and it is grave.'
With the difficult energy problems we are facing today, we don't
want to see additional trouble
in the Middle East. |
